[Limoges] Sous ma fenêtre (beneath my window)

Sous la fenêtre de mon bureau, Marie a planté un bouquet d'iris. J'ai tourné autour un bon momment, me demandant s'il fallait rendre la découpe des pétales, ou au contraire simplifier au maximum. J'ai finalement opté pour la seconde solution, en ne conservant au recadrage qu'une composition trés dépouillée, la lisière des pétales n'étant évoquée qu'en arrière-plan, pour aténuer le caractère abstrait de l'image.
Beneath the window of my study, Marie planted a bunch of iris. I turned around for a long time, wondering if I shoud display the jagged outline of the petals, or on the other hand stylize a maximum. In the end, I choosed the second option, by only keeping a very sober selection, the outline of the petals beeing only mentioned in the background, as a hint.

Hi Maxime, thanks so much for commenting on my photoblog. I agree with you about the picture you commented on. I didn't want to take a shot of his face, for many reasons, but his face spoke volumes.
Now, regarding your pictures here, I love them. I also love the way you find to make flowers look so sexual. Great shots, really.
