Le week-end dernier était un bon momment pour faucher. Avec la mécanisation, les meules sont devenues des bottes, et aujourd'hui des rouleaux qu'on ne peut plus manier qu'avec le tracteur. Pourtant, comme autrefois, un jeune chêne a été planté au centre du pré, pour offrir un abri d'ombre au bétail lorsque l'herbage est pâturé.

Last weekend was a good time to mow. With mechanization, the haystacks became square bunches, and today rollers which one cannot handle any more but with the tractor. However, like formerly, a young oak was planted in the center of meadow, to offer a shady shelter to the cattle when the pasture is grazed.
